Prof. Dr. Frauke Förger is a rheumatologist and Head of the Department of Rheumatology at the Cantonal Hospital of St. Gallen as well as adjunct professor at the University Hospital and University of Bern, Switzerland.  Her long-standing research interests include rheumatic diseases and pregnancy, in particular the safety of antirheumatic drugs in reproduction, pregnancy and lactation, relevant risk factors for adverse pregnancy outcomes and immunomodulatory mechanisms of pregnancy affecting disease activity. She is an international expert and the lead author of the recently published “EULAR recommendations for the use of antirheumatic drugs in pregnancy and lactation”.
